01.How deep should mulch be applied?+−
The correct depth is 2 to 3 inches. Any deeper and you risk moisture buildup and root issues; shallower and the weed-suppression benefit disappears. We never pile mulch against tree trunks or shrub stems.
02.What type of mulch do you recommend?+−
For most properties, premium dark hardwood mulch offers the best combination of appearance and performance. We also offer natural and black-dyed options depending on your preference and landscape style.
03.When is the best time to mulch?+−
Early spring — after the ground has warmed and beds have been cleaned up — is the most popular window. A second light refresh in mid-summer extends the appearance through fall. We'll recommend the right timing for your situation.
04.Do you edge the beds before mulching?+−
Yes, always. We cut a clean edge along every bed before applying mulch. It's a big part of why a fresh mulch job looks professional versus just dumped.
